Eli Manning finished the preseason on a high note Thursday night

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning ended the preseason on a high note Thursday night.

Manning was 7-of-9 passing for 91 yards and a touchdown against the New England Patriots.

The 29-year-old led the Giants on a 9-play, 86-yard scoring drive on the team’s second possession that was capped by a 13-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Boss. The extra point attempt was botched, however.

He show no ill effects of the bloody head injury he sustained in the first preseason game against the Jets.

Head coach Tom Coughlin limited the starters to two series in the first quarter before turning the reigns over to the backups for their final chance to earn a spon on the 53-man roster.
