Brian Westbrook, who the Philadelphia Eagles will be officially releasing shortly, wouldn’t be surprised if the team trades or releases Donovan McNabb.
“It wouldn’t shock me at all if he got traded or released,” Westbrook said during an interview on ESPN 1000 in Chicago, per PFT. “I know that he is very unappreciated in Philadelphia. . . . He’s definitely unappreciated for the things that he does and the things that he brings to Philadelphia.”
While things are uncertain in Philadelphia, they are starting to clear up in Washington.
Newly hired Redskins coach Mike Shanahan is standing by Clinton Portis who was rumored to be on his way out of town.
“He’s our running back,” Shanahan said on Sirius NFL Radio, recently. “I don’t go back to what happened the last couple years or listen to differences of opinion. I just know what Clinton did for me,” Shanahan said. “I expect him to be in great shape and do everything he can to be the best player. If he does that, I know what type of ability he has. Hopefully, he can help us win.”
