Four volunteer workers were injured on Tuesday night when a stage they were assembling outside Sun Life Stadium in Miami collapsed.
The stage was being assembled for a rehearsal of Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime show according to NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy.
Two of the volunteers had to be airlifted to a Miami area trauma center. The other two people injured were transported in an ambulance. All four were alert and conscious when fire and rescue arrived.
The collapse occurred around 8:30 p.m. after a large piece of the stage tipped over.
None of the injuries are life threatening according to the Miami Herald.
