Maurice Clarett is hoping to get his football career on track in the UFL

Get ready for the comeback story of the year. Maybe.

Former Ohio State star and Denver Broncos draft selection Maurice Clarett is hoping to catch on with Jeff Garcia and the Omaha Nighthawks in the UFL.

Clarett has petitioned a judge to be allowed leave the state of Ohio in order to try out of for the team according to an Associated Press report.

Clarett was released from a half-way house of sorts following three and a half year stint in prison on Monday.

He recently re-enrolled at the Ohio State University in hopes of completing his degree and will be working out at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center each morning.

The judge will review Clarett’s request on Wednesday.
