According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, former Buffalo Bills interim head coach Perry Fewell will be named the new defensive coordinator for the New York Giants.
The Giants confirmed the report on Thursday evening.
Fewell was rumored to join long-time friend Lovie Smith in Chicago, but ended up siding with the talented Giants’ defensive unit.
Known to have an affinity for the Tampa-2 defensive scheme, Fewell will most likely have to change his ways in New York where they typically bring blitzes from more than just the front four.
