The Atlanta Falcons promoted wide safety Rafael Bush to the active roster from the practice squad after placing safety Shann Schillinger on injured reserve this week.
Bush is an undrafted rookie out of South Carolina State University. The 5’11’’, 195-pound safety will likely take Schillinger’s place on special teams and see limited, if any time at all, in the secondary.
Bush was voted the SCSU Defensive MVP as a senior, finishing the season with 54 tackles, two interceptions and three touchdowns, two on special teams.
The Falcons host the Carolina Panthers in the season finale Sunday at 1 p.m. EST.
