Former Oakland Raiders offensive lineman Erik Pears is the latest former NFL player to join the ranks of the UFL.
Pears was added to the Omaha Nighthawks active roster Saturday. The 6-foot-8, 305-pound tackle out of Colorado State has seen a once-promising NFL career fizzle out over the past three seasons.
Pears started 26 of his first 32 NFL games in 2006-07 with the Denver Broncos.
He missed the entire 2008 season in Denver, but saw his career get a jump-start in 2009 with the Raiders where he played in 12 games while starting four.
Pears has been signed and released multiple times by the Raiders this season. He also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
