Eagles Rookie Questionable at First Days of Camp

Brandon Graham

Graham's presence at training camp is still a toss up.

Earlier this week, news broke that Philadelphia Eagles second-round draft pick Nate Allen may be absent when camp starts Tuesday. Now, another rookie’s camp status is on the fence
as well, reported league sources (via Sal Paolantonio of espn.com).

First-round pick Brandon Graham, selected 13th overall from Michigan, is not anywhere near finalizing a deal with Philadelphia. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman and Graham’s agent, Joel Segal, have only entered early stages of contract negotiations.

The Eagles traded two third-round picks and the No. 24 overall selection in order to acquire the highly touted prospect.

Graham seemed to be a shoe-in at left defensive end, but the unknown status of the rookie’s presence at camp could affect head coach Andy Reid’s plan. Allen was expected to be the starting free safety, but with both players still unsigned, some roster shuffling could be taking place within the next week.
