The Philadelphia Eagles organization is conflicted about trading quarterback Donovan McNabb.

While the Eagles brass wants to trade him, coach Andy Reid does not according to Fox 29 in Philly.

The butting of heads may make it difficult for McNabb to head out of town.

The TV station is also reporting that the St. Louis Rams have not called the team to inquire about McNabb.

It had been strongly rumored that the Rams would make a play for the Eagles quarterback.

Meanwhile, fullback Leonard Weaver is expected to sign a three-year contract extension with the Eagles on Friday morning according to Geoff Mosther of the News Journal.

The team hoped to work out a new deal with him last weekend, but wound up placing a second-round tender on him after they couldn’t come to terms on the new deal at that point.

The two sides have been “negotiation non-stop” since then according to Weaver’s agent.
