The Philadelphia Eagles claimed safety Brett Johnson off waivers from the Buffalo Bills on Monday.

A 6-foot-1, 194 pounder, Johnson signed with the Bills as a rookie free agent after going unselected in the draft.

He started 12 games for the Golden Bears last season, recording a career-high 42 tackles. Overall, Johnson finished his collegiate career with 107 tackles and three interceptions.

Thus far his crowning achievement was impressing scouts during his Pro Day where he ran a 4.3 40-yard dash and had a 42 inch vertical leap.
