Drew Brees is the latest player to state that Brett Favre will return next season.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has joined the growing list of players who believe Brett Favre will return to the Minnesota Vikings this season.
“I don’t think there’s any doubt that Brett Favre is coming back, and he’s going to be as good as he’s ever been,” Brees told Nancy Gay of FanHouse.com. “We’re going to need our best game to beat him, I know that. They’re a good team. A very good team.”
The Saints and Vikings square off in a monster game on Sept. 9 at the Super Dome.
Last week Favre stated that he didn’t know whether or not he would be back this season, but did state that his surgically repaired ankle was doing fine.
If he does play, Saints safety Darren Sharper is out to get him, having “called a shot” on the ankle.
