Brian Hartline was allegedly involved in a hit and run incident on July 3.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brian Hartline became the latest NFL player to find himself in offseason trouble after his pick up truck was found abandoned on a Florida interstate following an alleged hit and run incident.

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating who was behind the wheel of Hartline’s 2008 Ford pickup truck when it struck an unoccupied car parked along Interstate 595 around 4:30 a.m. on July 3.

The Florida Sun Sentinel reports that FHP went to Hartliner’s home after discovering his vehicle, but was unable to reach him. They eventually heard from his attorney to simply told them that Hartline was not injured.

To date troopers have not heard from Hartline regarding the crash.

Hartline is expected to challenge for a starting wide receiver spot opposite Brandon Marshall.

The Ohio State product caught three touchdowns in his 2009 rookie campaign.
