Dolphins Hire Mike Nolan as Defensive Coordinator

Mike Nolan

Mike Nolan

Mike Nolan joined the Miami Dolphins as their new defensive coordinator on Tuesday. The move comes just one day after Nolan and the Denver Broncos mutually decided to part ways.

Jay Glazer of FOX Sports was first to report the deal was done.

It’s quite clear now that Nolan already had the job lined up before departing Denver, where he drastically improved the Broncos defense. However, this no word yet on what, if anything, soured his relationship with head coach Josh McDaniels that might have led to the departure.

Before this deal became known he was also rumored to be a candidate for the Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears.
