Deuce McAllister
After getting the hopes of New Orleans Saints fans up, Deuce McAllister will not play this weekend against the Arizona Cardinals after all.
Saints Coach Sean Payton said that McAllister will instead lead the team onto the field and serve as the team captain according to Mike Triplett of the Times-Picayune.
Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis decided to sign the former fan favorite after placing defensive tackle Rodney Leslie on injured reserve.
The original plan was for McAllister just to be a guest captain.
For his efforts, he will earn $21,000 playoff share from a league pool.
