Derek Anderson laid into Cleveland Browns fans shortly after being released by the team on Tuesday and he didn’t hold anything back.

In an email to Jeff Schudel of the News-Herald Anderson wished Browns fans nothing but the worst.

“The fans are ruthless and don’t deserve a winner,” Anderson wrote. “I will never forget getting cheered when I was injured.

I know at times I wasn’t great. I hope and pray I’m playing when my team comes to town and (we) roll them.”

He was injured in a game against the Indianapolis Colts in Nov. 2008. As he lay on the ground after tearing a knee ligament the Browns fans began to cheer.

Anderson also stated that he hadn’t heard from anybody in the organization since the season ended.

“I never heard from anyone until today,” he said. “Nobody ever tried to reach out to me, which is fine.”

The Browns replaced him with Seneca Wallace on Monday.

Meanwhile, there is speculation that the Arizona Cardinals could be interested in acquiring the recently released Browns quarterback.
