Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker suffered foor and ankle injuries Saturday night.
The Denver Broncos receiving corps took a bit of a hit Saturday night as rookie wide receivers Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker suffered foot and ankle injuries.
For Decker, a third-round pick out of Minnesota, it’s yet another setback early in his NFL career. He underwent a surgical procedure to repair a Lisfranc fracture suffered prior to April’s draft.
Early indications are that he did not re-injure his foot, but suffered a left ankle sprain instead. He will undergo an MRI to confirm on Sunday according to Josina Anderson of FOX 31 in Denver.
Thomas, a first-round pick out of Georgia Tech, was also hampered by a foot injury earlier this offseason. He too will be evaluated Sunday to determine the severity of Saturday night’s injury.
In what could be a positive sign, Thomas was able to walk off the field under his own power.
