Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall intercepted four passes against the Chicago Bears Sunday, tying an NFL record.
With each of his interceptions coming after halftime, the seventh-year veteran out Virginia Tech broke the NFL record for most interceptions in a half.
Among his interceptions was a 92-yard pick six in the third quarter.
For Hall, the strong performance couldn’t have come at a better time. The cornerback landed in headlines this week following an alleged confrontation with Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett.
Hall’s record setting performance was just part of the Washington’s big defensive day the culminated with the team’s 17-14 victory at Soldier Field. The team forced six Bears turnovers including a goal line fumble that likely cost Chicago seven points.
