Veteran QB Daunte Culpepper will get the start for the Detroit Lions on Sunday over Drew Stanton according to a report by John Czarnecki of FOXSports.com.
Stanton tweaked his ankle during the Lions’ week 16 game against the 49ers and was limited in practice this week causing him to be demoted for the season finale against the Chicago Bears.
Culpepper took over in relief of Stanton in San Francisco and was 7 of 12 passing for 51 yards.
Lions’ starting quarterback Matthew Stafford was placed on injured reserve after undergoing right knee surgery in December.
