The Dallas Cowboys appear to be thirty minutes of football away from their first playoff win since 1996. At halftime, the Cowboys lead the visiting Philadelphia Eagles 27-7.
The story thus far has been the lethargic play of the Eagles offense. Despite getting on the board, the game has been a carbon copy of last week’s Cowboys’ blowout win.
Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb was absolutely shut down by the Dallas defense, having only 39 yards on 4-of-10 passing.
The vast majority of his yardage came in the final two minutes of the half as he had just two yards passing prior to the two minute warning.
Backup quarterback Michael Vick was the team’s leading passer, but only had a single passing attempt. It was a big one though. He found Jeremy Maclin for a 76-yard touchdown.
For the Cowboys, Tony Romo had 203 yards and two touchdowns through the air on 17-for-27 passing.
Roy Williams, who many had written off, led the Dallas receivers in the first half with five catches for 59 yards.
