Cowboys’ Roy Williams On Role With Team: “It pisses me off”

Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Roy Williams has expressed his frustrations with the team’s playcalling throughout the year. It all finally came to a head after Sunday’s crushing loss to the Vikings.

“I didn’t get a ball today, and I didn’t get a look at today. It just happens,” Williams said. “It’s frustrating. It pisses me off, especially when we lose and especially when I feel like I have a mismatch. I got a 5-10 corner covering me, but hey, you know, I will continue to work hard in the offseason and it will come back around.”

Williams was targeted by Tony Romo on only one play during Sunday’s loss. The 1st quarter pass was off target as Romo was knocked on the ground by a Vikings defenseman.

With Miles Austin emerging as one of the NFL’s elite young wide receiver talents, Williams will a lot of work to do in the off season. There were times during the season when Williams showed his talent, however, he never truly earned his large contract.

All eyes will be on Williams once again this off season. He may have to make a strong impression in training camp to keep his role as the Cowboys’ number 2 receiver.
