Dallas Cowboys rookie defensive tackle Josh Price-Brent broke his left hand during the second day of training camp.
Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips confirmed the injury to reporters Sunday afternoon.
The coach hopes that the seventh-round supplemental draft choice can return to practice on Monday, but Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News reports that scenario is unlikely.
Price-Brent, who suffered the break during morning practice, worked out on the sidelines during the afternoon session.
He will not require surgery, but this could hurt his chances of landing the backup role on the 53-man roster.
