The Dallas Cowboys are considering making changes to their uniforms to keep up with modern HDTV technology.
The team’s pants are causing headaches for a lot of fans because they are actually green.
They were initially designed that color because it came across as silver on television, but technology has progressed to the point to where they look, well.. green.
“When fans go to our home games in person the No. 1 grief we hear about is the green pants,” Cowboys vice president of merchandising Bill Priakos told the Dallas Observer. “Now we’re hearing it from fans watching on TV because of HD. It’s too realistic.”
Although a change is not certain, the team is giving off the impression that they are strongly leaning in that direction.
“We want the pants to look silver, to be consistent to every fan no matter if they’re at the game or watching on TV, whether we’re home or on the road,” Priakos added. “Of course, we’ll never change the home white jerseys or the helmets, but we’re experimenting with some different shades in the pants.”
