Super Bowl XLIII Coin Toss
This year’s Super Bowl coin toss will be far out.
A coin that made the trip to the International Space station on the space shuttle, Atlantis, will be used for the coin toss in Super Bowl XLIV.
The crew of the shuttle, who returned in November after an 11-day trip, plans to deliver the coin to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton on Wednesday.
The astronauts took along other pieces of sports memorabilia, including a football with the names of all of the Football Hall of Fame members.
The crew also will visit a NASA research center in Cleveland and a Cleveland Cavaliers game where they will bring along an NBA jersey that was on the flight.
