Cleveland Browns Player Arrested After Fight at Night Club

Cleveland Browns running back Chris Jennings was arrested early Saturday morning after an incident outside a dance club.

According the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office, a bouncer at the Velvet Dog club said Jennings’ friend, who was with him at the time, did not meet the club’s dress code requirements and was told he could not enter.

The Browns player began arguing with the bouncer and he and his friend entered the club anyway.

The argument allegedly continued inside where the bouncer claims Jennings punched him in the face and bloodied his mouth according to a FOX 8 report.

He was taken into custody on suspicion of assault at 2:15 a.m. and taken to City Jail in Cleveland, but has not been charged with a crime as of this writing.

Jennings played in nine games for the Browns last season and earned just 220 yards on the ground.

The team re-signed him last month.
