Chiefs Release WR Long

WR Lance Long was released by the Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs trimmed their roster a bit more by cutting Wideout Lance Long Tuesday morning, according to Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star.

Long caught 20 passes last season but became expendable when the Chiefs signed Dexter McCluster and Jerheme Urban, among others.

Kansas City cut five players in this round of cuts, all from the offensive side of the ball. Quarterback Bill Stull, running back Kestahn Moore, tight end Cody Slate and offensive lineman Tyler Eastman were cut over the weekend.

The Chiefs’ roster is now at 75 players. They must cut to the NFL limit of 53 by Saturday.
