The Chicago Bears got an early start on signing free agents on Monday.

The team announced that tight end Richard Angulo and wide receiver Eric Peterman were signed to one-year contracts.

Angulo, who did not play in the 2009 season, is a five-year veteran of the NFL and has a previous stint with the Bears under his belt. He also spent time with the St. Louis Rams, Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Peterman also has time with the Bears, having spent the 2009 preseason on their squad.

He was also signed to their practice squad for the final week of the season.
