Kassim Osgood
San Diego Chargers free agent Kassim Osgood says that he is headed to the east coast to finally get shot a more playing time at wide receiver rather than on special teams.
Early Friday morning Osgood tweeted that he was flying across the country for a visit with an undisclosed team at 6 a.m.
Osgood added that he doesn’t want to leave San Diego, but hasn’t been given a fair shot to shine at wide receiver.
Of his situation with the Chargers Osgood wrote, “If (you’re) job told you don’t ever ask for a promotion (because) we will NEVER give you one, would YOU stay???”
He was named to three out of the last four Pro Bowls as a special teamer and also is on the 50 Greatest San Diego Chargers list.
UPDATE: Mike Florio of PFT is reporting that Osgood is meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
