The San Diego Chargers claimed former Washington Redskins running back Marcus Mason off waivers on Monday.

Mason was among ten Redskins cut in what has been dubbed the “Bloodbath at Redskins Park” last Thursday.

The 25-year-old spent two of his first three NFL seasons with the Redskins and one with the Jets.

Mason saw action in ten games with the burgundy and gold last season. He rushed the ball 32 times for 127 yards.

The Chargers released veteran running back LaDanian Tomlinson last week and placed a first- and third-round tender on Darren Sproles.

Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune was first to report the move.
