John Fox's Panthers have not taken advantage of their improved kicking game
At 0-5 and struggling to find an offensive identity while flipping back and forth through quarterbacks, there is a positive spin to put the the Carolina Panthers’ 2010 campaign thus far.
The kicking game.
The Panthers are seventh in the NFC in net punting average and in the upper half of the league in kickoff average. Punter Jason Baker is averaging 43.6 yards per punt with a long of 57, and he gets plenty of work, as the Panthers rank dead last in both total offense and points scored.
The Panthers look to get their first win of the season when they host the San Francisco 49ers Sunday at 1 p.m. EDT.
