Cardinals QB Kurt Warner Undecided on Retirement

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner isn’t making any rash decisions regarding his future and whether retirement is on the horizon.

Despite playing what some consider to be a career game Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, Warner is going to take his time wrestling with his football future.

“I never want to make an emotional decision,” Warner told the Arizona Republic after Sunday’s game. “(I) think it’s easy to do, whether it’s after a game like this, to say, ‘I’m going to play forever,’ or after a bad game to say, ‘Ah, I’m done.’

“There is no question I continue to think about it and have thought about it over the last few years and will again this year. I don’t think you want to stay too long, but you don’t want to go out before it’s time.”

Sources close to Warner told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that they expect the Super Bowl winning quarterback to retire after the season is over.
