Maurice Evans

Maurice Evans was cut by the Buccaneers for the third time in less than a year.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed third-round draft pick Myron Lewis to a four-year deal on Monday.

The 22-year-old cornerback out of Vanderbilt received a $930,100 signing bonus in addition to his $2.72 million contract according to PFT.

Lewis was the No. 67 overall pick in the NFL Draft this year and could find a place with the first-team depending on his play during the preseason.

There is some speculation that he could take Ronde Barber’s spot at right corner.

The Buccaneers also released defensive end Maurice Evans. The 21-year-old was released and re-signed by the Buccaneers twice last season before finishing the year on injured reserve.
