Browns Will Have Tough Time Trading Brady Quinn

Brady Quinn

The Cleveland Browns are apparently going to try to work out a deal to trade Brady Quinn now that Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace are in town.

The problem for the Browns is that there may not be a lot of interested parties.

The Carolina Panthers—the team that released Delhomme— have no interest in his services according to Charles Chandler of the Charlotte Observer.

Quinn’s sizable contract is reportedly the sticking point for many teams trying to sign the 2007 first-round draft pick.

But, Mike Florio of PFT was quick to point out that Quinn’s contract will only become sizable if he takes 70 percent of the snaps next season. Otherwise he will earn $700,000 and not trigger a $5.9 million escalator for the 2011 season.

We still think that a Notre Dame reunion in Kansas City with Charlie Weis remains a possibility.

UPDATE: Well, that didn’t last long. We are morons. Quinn was traded to Denver.
