Broncos’ RB White Out for Season

LenDale White

LenDale White will miss the remainder of the season with a torn Achilles

One of the Denver Broncos’ top priorities in Thursday night’s preseason finale in Minnesota was, if nothing else,  leave the stadium healthy.

Running back LenDale White was helped from the field during the second quarter of the Broncos’ 34-21 loss to the Vikings with an apparent injury to his ankle.

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.com White sustained an Achilles tendon tear, effectively ending his season.

White was already set to miss the first four games of the regular season after violating the league’s substance abuse policy, but the Broncos had hoped that when he returned, he could help them in short yardage situations later in the season.

Denver could resign former Raider running back Justin Fargas, who was cut when rosters were trimmed from 80 to 75.

Broncos’ right tackle Ryan Harris left the game with an injury to his ankle as well, however the severity of that injury is not yet known.
