Brandon Marshall
The odds of Brandon Marshall heading to Chicago just to a bit of a hit.
The Denver Broncos placed a first-round tender on the wide receiver, meaning that a team has to give up a first-round draft pick in order to acquire him.
The problem for the Chicago Bears is that that don’t have a first-round pick to give up. The team already gave up that pick to the Broncos in their deal to get Jay Cutler.
There are some convoluted ways that he could still land in Chicago, but it’s just not looking good.
Meanwhile, the Bears placed tenders on five restricted free agents of their own on Wednesday.
Defensive end Mark Anderson, safety Josh Bullocks, safety Daniel Manning, linebacker Nick Roach and linebacker Jamar Williams all received tenders of varying levels.
