Broncos’ LT Clady Close to Returning

The Denver Broncos have been hit pretty hard by the injury bug this preseason.

Darryl Stingley was hit pretty hard by Jack Tatum.

16 players missed Saturday’s preseason game vs. Detroit with varying injuries; Some severe, some minor.

Of those 16 players, only Ryan Clady could be found hanging around with his fellow teammates before and after the game, according to Lyndsay H. Jones of The Denver Post.

Clady participated in various strength and conditioning drills with Broncos’ strength coach Rich Tuten before kickoff Saturday.

The pro bowl left tackle has missed all of training camp after injuring his knee during a pick-up basketball game. Clady had surgery in April and has rarely been seen at Broncos camp this offseason.

Denver hopes to have the former Boise State Bronco back on the field before the season opener Sept. 12 in Jacksonville.

Clady wouldn’t speculate when asked for an exact date for his return,  he would only say, “soon.”
