Broncos' cornerback Champ Bailey has a lot of respect for the Baltimore Ravens' wide receiving corps
The Denver Broncos boast the NFL’s top rated passing attack, but according to Broncos’ cornerback Champ Bailey, it’s the Baltimore Ravens who feature the league’s most talented group of receivers.
“The talent level — they probably have the best group in the league. Bailey said via Lyndsay Jones of the Denver Post. They have a number of Pro Bowls among them, so the guys are experienced and we have our hands full this week with them.”
Baltimore added former Arizona Cardinal Anquan Boldin and former Bengal and Seahawk T.J. Houshmandzadeh to an offense that already employed wideout Derrick Mason, tight end Todd Heap, and pass catching tailback Ray Rice.
Broncos’ head coach Josh McDaniels said that the Ravens’ multiple weapons on offense make it difficult to focus on just one player, as his defense did vs. the Indianapolis Colts’ Reggie Wayne.
mean, you can’t really focus on one guy or two, for that matter. You have to play good, sound, fundamental pass defense on everybody,” McDaniels said. “If you take one or two of them away, you are going to get hurt by somebody else. It’s a challenge that…you have to play everybody well on every pass, that’s what you’ve got to do.”
