Sam Bradford's contract negotiations hit a snag, delaying Suh's talks with Lions.

Contract negotiations for the top two picks in this year’s NFL Draft have hit a bump in the road.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that there are now some “hiccups” in the St. Louis Rams negotiations with Sam Bradford.

Rookies and select veterans open training camp Thursday at Rams Park, but the No. 1 overall pick won’t be there.

There were no talks between Bradford’s agents and the Rams on Wednesday night according to Jim Thomas of St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Meanwhile, negotiations between the Detroit Lions and second overall pick Ndamukong Suh are moving along slowly.

That’s not surprising, however.

Lions coach Jim Schwartz acknowledged Wednesday that part of the delay in his signing is due to Bradford not being under contract yet.

“Yeah, sure, that’s part of the equation,” Schwartz said, per John Niyo of the Detroit News. “But you know that going in … The business side (will get) taken care of. And when he signs, he’ll be ready. I know he will.”

Oakland Raiders first-round pick (No. 8 overall) Rolando McClain became the highest player yet to sign his deal late Wednesday night.
