Boldin ‘Optimistic’ He Will Play in New Orleans on Saturday

Although Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin missed practice again on Tuesday, he remains ‘optimistic’ that he will be ready to play on Saturday when the Cardinals visit the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Divisional Playoff round.

Boldin stated that he “felt a lot better” after working out on the sideline during today’s practice.

Wide receivers Steve Breason and Early Doucet certainly picked up the slack for Boldin in the Cardinals’ Wild Card victory last week. One could argue that a hurt Anquan Boldin that plays might hurt the Cardinals rather than allowing Breaston and Doucet to continue with the added playing time.
