Ryan Fitzpatrick is competing with Trent Edwards and Brian Brohm for the starting job.
Buffalo Bills coach Chan Gailey is yet to name a No. 1 quarterback, but plans to have the depth chart worked out prior to the start of training camp.
He also stated the there will still be an open competition at camp to win the starting spot for the regular season.
“We will probably, by the time we get to training camp, have somebody that is going to work with the first group; somebody that’s going to work with the second group going in,” Gailey said recently, per the Buffalo News. “But it still will be open when we get to camp.”
The coaches are trying to decide who will be working with the first team when camp opens on July 29.
Ryan Fitzpatrick worked the first two sessions of Wednesday’s minicamp with the first-team while Trent Edwards worked the third.
Brian Brohm should also get work with the first team on Thursday.
