Bills and Cardinals Interested in Joey Porter

Joey Porter

Former Miami Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter may not be a free agent for long.

After being released by the Dolphins on Friday, Porter has drawn the interest of the Arizona Cardinals according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Current Cardinals defensive Tackle Darnell Dockett has been lobbying the team to sign Porter since news first broke that he had been released.

Ironically, the two teams could essentially wind up switching players. The Dolphins signed Karlos Dansby to a five-year, $43 million contract on Friday.

The Buffalo Bills may also be interested in his services. Defensive coordinator George Edwards coached Porter when he was in Miami and could be a proponent of bringing in the 32-year-old NFL veteran.
