The Cincinnati Bengals trimmed their roster by releasing five players Friday morning.

The most notable name among the bunch is seventh-year CB Keiwan Ratliff who was released to free agency. He previously played for the Bengals from 2004-07 and came back for last year’s postseason.

Ratliff’s career also includes a stop with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In addition to releasing Ratliff, the team also waived four others.

The Bengals bid farewell to S Bryan Evans of Georgia, first-year HB Walter Mendenhall of Illinois State, rookie P Jake Richardson of Miami (Ohio) and first-year CB DeAngelo Willingham of Tennessee according to a team press release.

Evans and Richardson were just signed last month as rookie free agents.
