After playing every game for the Bengals in 2009, defensive end Jonathan Fanene will be sidelined for the remainder of the season with a hamstring injury.
Fanene battled hamstring issues all year and had not played since injuring it Oct. 24 against the Atlanta Falcons. Fanene registered 66 combined tackles the past two seasons, but could only manage one tackle in two games this year.
In related news, the Bengals added defensive end Victor Adeyanju to the roster on Thursday. Adeyanju spent four seasons with the Rams but was waived by the team on Sept. 4. In those seasons, Adeyanju made 26 starts and recorded three sacks, four fumble recoveries, and one touchdown.
