Cedric Peerman
The Cincinnati Bengals acquired HB Cedric Peerman on waivers from the Detroit Lions Tuesday. The 5-foot-9, 210 pound runner out of the University of Virginia made three stops in his first year in the NFL, but did not see action in any games.
Peerman was selected in the sixth-round (185th overall) by the Baltimore Ravens in 2009 and was released during the final round of cuts during training camp.
The Cleveland Browns signed him off waivers and eventually placed him on their practice squad before releasing him for good on October 28.
The Detroit Lions signed him to their practice squad later that fall and put him on the main roster to close out the season.
The team waived him on Monday and the Bengals claimed him on Tuesday. Such is the life of a player trying to find a home in the NFL.
