Bears Injury Report: Manning and Manumaleuna Return, Five Others Out

Brandon Manumaleuna will make his Chicago Bears debut Saturday night.

After sitting out the first preseason game with injuries, Chicago Bears safety Danieal Manning and tight end Brandon Manumaleuna are expected to make their debuts against the Oakland Raiders Saturday night.

Manning was been bothered by a hamstring injury while a knee problem kept Manumaleuna on the sidelines. Both men returned to practice this week according to ESPNChicago.com.

Manning will likely start at safety along with Chris Harris while Manumaleuna will be used in a number of different ways, including pottentially seeing some time at fullback.

Lovie Smith has ruled out long-snapper Patrick Mannelly (shoulder), Major Harris (finger), Craig Steltz (ankle), Caleb Hanie (AC joint) and Earl Bennett (hamstring).

Desmond Clark is expected handle all long snaps in Mannelly’s absence.
