Dan LeFevour
The Chicago Bears selected one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the NFL Draft on Saturday when they picked Central Michigan quarterback Dan LeFevour in the sixth-round.
LeFevour was a four-year starter in college where he proceeded to put up ridiculous numbers, including becoming just the second player in NCAA history to throw for over 3,000 yards and rush for over 1,000 yards in a single season.
In 2007, LeFevour had 3,652 passing and 1,122 rushing yards—joining Vince Young as the only other QB to have a 3,000 / 1,000 season.
His 149 career touchdowns set the record for most in the FBS era.
Coming out of the MAC he could be viewed as a project for the Bears, but the potential is certainly there.
LeFevour is a life-long fan of the Bears, having grown up in the Chicago area.
“Being able to put on the navy blue and orange just means a lot to me,” LeFevour told ESPN. “I don’t have a doubt in my mind that this is the place I’m supposed to be.”
