Kentwan Balmer is just happy to be in Seattle... really, really happy.
Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Kentwan Balmer wants to leave San Francisco behind.
Seattle’s newly acquired 23-year-old defensive end spoke to the media for the first time since the 49ers traded him this week and resisted temptation to bury his former organization on the surface.
Balmer didn’t touch on exactly what led him to fall out of favor with the team, either.
“What happened in San Francisco was in San Francisco,” Balmer told KIRO-TV. “I think this is a first-class organization. I think I mesh well with the people here.”
He made sure to share his enthusiasm with his new organization on multiple occasions.
“I would just like to thank the Seattle Seahawks for this chance,” he said. “I would like to thank the 49ers for allowing me to move on. I’m just here, happy and ready to compete.”
