Unlike previous off-seasons, Anquan Boldin will not ask the Arizona Cardinals to trade him.

Instead, he is going to “play out” his existing contract with the team according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.

Next season marks the final year of Boldin’s contract with the Cardinals. He is due to be paid $3 million, but still believes that he is underpaid.

“If I go to them and request a trade, it don’t matter,” Boldin told Salguero. “I’m under contract for another year. So no matter what I say or do, that won’t change anything. I’m under contract for another year. So whatever happens, it depends on what the Cardinals want to do. I’m not worried about it at all.”

He’s not worried about the injuries that kept him out of the playoffs this year, either.

“I’m fine,” he said. “I don’t have anything that requires surgery or anything. I’m fine.”

The Cardinals ended their season with a 45-14 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Saturday.
