By virtue of their win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers are still alive in the playoff hunt, but need a lot of help to get in.

After the early games wrapped up, the New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens still control their own playoff fates. For them, the formula is simple… win and you’re in.

It’s not so clear cut for the Steelers, Denver Broncos and Houston Texans.

The Steelers will get in the playoffs if the Ravens, Jets and Broncos all lose or tie.

The Texans will get in if any two of the Ravens, Jets or Broncos lose or tie.

The Broncos will get the final playoff spot if they beat the Kansas City Chiefs and either the Ravens or Jets lose or tie.

Earlier in the day the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars were eliminated from playoff contention.
