The San Francisco 49ers will drastically raise ticket prices by as much as 315 percent next season.

Not surprisingly some fans are irate.

Selected tickets in the west end zone that were $71 per game last season will now sell for $295 according to a report in the San Jose Mercury News.

The good news for the season ticket holders who are affected is that they will now get a “premium” game day experience which included a pre-game field pass, food, drinks and a cushioned seat.

Nearly half of the 70,000 seats at Candlestick got slapped with an increase of $5 or more.

The other half stayed within a $5 increase or even had their prices slashed.

The team is giving season ticket holders who feel “priced out” first priority to change seat location next season.
