The San Francisco 49ers and David Carr have agreed to terms on a contract that will bring the quarterback to the Bay Area.
After spending part of the weekend with the team, Carr left town but is expected sign the contract on Monday morning according to Ralph Vacchiano of the NY Daily News.
The Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals were also interested in the surprisingly in demand 30-year-old NFL veteran.
However, his first free agency stop would prove to be the only one he needed.
Carr spent last season as Eli Manning’s backup with the New York Giants who now find themselves looking for a new No. 2 on the depth chart.
